Hotel In Bloomsbury, 5th year project, AHO. From the outside the building does not stand out from its historical surroundings, although it is clearly a modern building. It is not possible to tell that it is a luxury hotel. The building offers discreteness. The inside of the hotel is a secret you have to reveal, layer by layer, while approaching and entering it.
The design for the hotel was developed trough a series of initial studies including photographing and recreating a specific atmosphere, writing and a detailed survey of elements from the sites approximate surroundings. The hotel itself was developed in physical models with the hotel room as the main focus.
